MacRumors has confirmed that the A18 chip in Apple's new HomeView smart home hub is paired with 8GB of RAM. This is not very surprising given the A18 chip also has 8GB of RAM in all iPhone 16 models and the MacBook Neo, but Apple does not list this information in the HomeView's tech specs, so it is worth documenting.

Yeah, expected RAM and expected forum comment. You're right. I still like to document it on the record for the sake of completeness.
I mean it's an A18, it's a single configuration chip with 8GB of RAM always. Just like the A19 always has 12GB.
The sole purpose of any company is to focus on margins.
Pretty impressed for a $299 device. In terms of storage, it probably has 128GB. Tells you quite a bit about what Apple is willing to give if they put their minds to it and focus less on margin.
