I am still on a i7, max graphic card, 64GB, 2020 iMac 27“. Can do anything I want including audio production.

24“ is way to small. I want 32“.

A mac studio + apple display is 5500$ and the scrern is the same with 100 nits more brightness. Too expensive for a little more speed.

I'm shocked we haven't gone back to Fusion Drives to help offset costs!

It just downed on me we went back to the future storage wise. If I recall MacOS plus AI (on M3 or greater) is about 40 GB of the 256 GB standard, or about 1/6 of capacity.

ProDos plus Basic.System was about 26 KB out of the 140 KB of the Apple floppy disk, or about 1/6. ProDos was larger than the old DOS 3.3 and people were grousing about that too.

A Fusion Drive would still work out if you had the onboard storage and a slot for a second NVME. Apple would lose out on a lot of overpriced storage upgrades though so that will not be happening.
