According to Apple's release notes, iOS 26.7 includes security fixes, but it does not have any other features.

Apple will eventually show ‌iOS 27‌ as the main update for the iPhone, but that likely won't happen for a few weeks. Users who want to stay on ‌iOS 26‌ for the time being can do so by opting for iOS 26.7 instead of ‌iOS 27‌.

‌iOS 27‌ runs on all of the same iPhones that support ‌iOS 26‌.

apple can't even get their software rollout process working right anymore. their software sucks rocks. i had a pop-up on my phone telling me it did update to ios 27 but when i unlocked the phone, it obviously is still on 26. i updated again, it downloaded, and again we're back at 26.

[update] the only download option after seeing 27, clicking on that option and downloading it, just to get 26.7...is now showing 26.7 in available downloads. So I clicked 26.7, downloaded it and now have its 27 🤣

is Craig just trolling us these days?

So I started refreshing the software update page at the given time and after a few minutes it prompted me to update to 26.7. I downloaded the update, let it install, restarted, the went back to software update again and pulled to refresh the page. After a while I got the optional link at the bottom of the page for iOS 27. I clicked on this - the link for iOS 27 - and the next screen had it installing 26.7. Again. It's now downloaded the whole thing and i've set it off updating - despite the fact that I just installed 26.7 already. I wonder what operating system I'll be on when it finishes updating?
Like others have said - i can confirm that it updates to iOS 27 - even though the download screen refers to 26.7 again.
