Here Are The Best Carrier Deals You Can Get When Pre-Ordering iPhone 18 Pro Today

Apple today launched pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. If you're looking to place a pre-order on one of these models at a cellular carrier, we've rounded up all of the best deals and offers you can find from the major carriers in the United States.

AT&T

Starting with AT&T, you can get the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max for up to $1,200 off with an iPhone trade-in in any condition. You'll need to upgrade with AT&T Next Up Anytime or switch to get this offer, and AT&T says it will be available for iPhone Duo orders in October as well.

If you switch to AT&T from a different carrier, AT&T will pay off your phone balance at up to $800 off per line. With the $1,200 offer, AT&T is offering the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro at no cost.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile's offers are nearly identical to AT&T. You can get the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max for up to $1,200 off you trade in an old device (in any condition) and purchase the new device on an eligible unlimited plan. You can also get this offer if you switch a line to Experience Beyond 2.0, Experience Beyond, or Go5G Next.

Additionally, you can get up to $930 off any iPhone 18 Pro model when trading in an eligible device, or switching a line to T-Mobile on Experience More 2.0, Experience More, or Go5G Plus.

For Apple Watches at T-Mobile, if you buy any new Apple Watch Series 12 or Ultra 4 device, you can get $300 off a second model when you add a watch line on the Watch Plan 2.0.

Verizon

Similar to the other carriers, Verizon is offering up to $1,200 off the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max with an eligible smartphone trade-in. You'll need to purchase the new iPhone on a 36-month payment plan and you'll receive the discount in the form of monthly promo credits over the course of your plan.

Verizon is also offering the Apple Watch Series 12 at no cost when you purchase it alongside a new iPhone. You just need to buy the iPhone on Simplicity, Simplicity Plus, Pro, or myPlan, and purchase the Apple Watch on a 36-month payment plan.

Visible

Visible is offering $480 off the iPhone 18 Pro when you purchase it on the Visible+ Pro plan. To get this deal, you'll need to join or switch to the Visible+ Pro monthly plan and purchase the iPhone 18 Pro at full retail price, and then you'll see the $480 off in terms of monthly service credits.

Visible's offer differs from other carriers due to requiring the full retail purchase of the new iPhone, compared to AT&T and others, which are offering discounts on monthly financing options. If you're interested, new members can get 50% off one year of the Visible+ Pro annual plan with SAVEHALF at checkout.

Visible offers unlimited talk, text, and data for $19/month on the Visible plan, $29/month on the Visible+ plan, or $39/month on the Visible+ Pro plan (prices include $6 discount with current promo code SAVE6).

Hate these 36 month commitments. I’ve been on t mobile, which has had 24 months until now, but I guess now it’s 36 months for everyone. I used to buy outright and will go back to doing that.

The key word on these deals is "UP TO" $1200 off an old phone any condition. They make it sound like you trade in your old, dead iPhone 13 Pro and you get $1200 credit. Nope. With AT&T, a working, good condition iPhone 13 Pro gets you $350 credit, not $1200.

I didn't waste any more time on this but I gather you have to trade in a recent flagship phone to get the full $1200. Maybe not true for Verizon or TM, but they both also state "UP TO" $1200 so I'm guessing you're not only paying super high monthly plan prices for this deal (as they require you to be in their priciest plans), but getting barely anything for a normal phone trade-in.

The days of great carrier deals are gone.

1) MacRumors forgot the part mentioned in the keynote about the tradein needing to be 14 Pro or newer.
2) If you don’t get a free flagship iPhone Pro every 2-3 or even 4 years you are doing life wrong. I know people who chose to squeeze a few extra years out of their 12, phone stopped working in recent months, they had to buy something else in the interim, and now must pay $1200 to upgrade, when they could have easily had been enjoying a free 15 Pro and now a free 18 Pro.
Let's at least be honest and say we know the free phone with the big 3 carriers isn't really free. You're paying more for your eligible plan, every month for 24-36 months than if you bought a phone and took it to someplace like US Mobile where you can choose your carrier and get a great unlimited plan for $17/mo.

I think it would be more accurate to say you're getting a new phone at a discounted price when you overpay for one of their plans they want you on. One thing you can be sure of -- the big 3 carriers aren't handing out free phones out of the goodness of their hearts. They're making a ton of money by dangling that carrot.

"You'll need to upgrade with AT&T Next Up Anytime"

This is not accurate. I have been a loyal AT&T customer since the iPhone’s release, and you don’t need to add AT&T Next Up. In fact, we recently upgraded three of our iPhone 15s (wife and kids) to iPhone 18 Pro models using this deal, and we did not have to add AT&T Next Up. I pre-ordered directly via AT&T this morning.

I’m not interested in using a budget MVNO. I’ve been with the same “big three” carrier for 25 years and have no interest in switching and dealing with all their quirks and limitations. The AT&T plans are not bad at all, even the newest ones, $40 per line for most people in my family, and in my case $70 for a package that includes free tablet service, free watch service, and network priority over everyone else except first responders, plus basically worldwide international roaming, and tons of other stuff included. I’m staying on this plan whether they pay for my iPhones or not. Just looked at what you get for $17/month with US Mobile/Dark Star: data limits, no Apple Watch support, hotspot limits, no international, and the lowest network priority. No thanks. When you include a new phone at $33/month, you are paying $10 more than the person on AT&T, for far inferior service. We are essentially paying $7/month for top tier service after the cost of the iPhone. Can’t beat that. Likely a very similar value proposition with the other two major carriers as well.
