Apple to Pay $250 Per iPhone Duo Foldable Display in Samsung Deal

I have owned both Apple and Samsung phones. I wouldn't say one is higher quality than the other when it comes to non-foldables. I would say Samsung has Apple in a headlock because Apple pays them $250 per screen. How much of that price is due to Samsung's manufacturing costs, how much is based on their speculation about where the foldable market will go...and how much of it is simply putting Apple in a headlock is unknown.

One, Apple doesn’t care, as they rise above insults. And two, they’re literally using better display tech than even Samsung use in their own folds. This is because Apple have higher quality standards. And you may say, well, (why would Samsung give more to Apple than themselves?) it’s simple - If you work as a cleaner, you’re more likely to clean better to impress clients than you’re in your own home. Impressing others is more important than impressing yourself at home.

Basically, Samsung knows that if they don’t impress their client, Apple will just invest in making their own displays or find another supplier until they do. Just like they did with the M series.

Need more evidence that Samsung knows Apple customers expect higher quality? Just think of the cheaper materials use to make their Fold 8 ie -the plastic camera housing that pop off - with a bigger crease and lesser water resistance, This is enough evidence that just because Samsung make the displays, it don’t actually mean they give left overs to others. Apple literally has Samsung in a perpetual headlock. And it’s wonderful.

I wonder how much it will cost to replace a screen like that at service centers—around $900?
