Apple Begins Selling a $419 iPhone

Apple recently added the iPhone 16e to its refurbished store, with U.S. pricing starting as low as $419 for a model with 128GB of storage.

iPhone 16e Feature
Originally released in February 2025, the iPhone 16e is a lower-end device with a 6.1-inch OLED display, an A18 chip with 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence support, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, a 12-megapixel front camera, a USB-C port, an Action button, and more. On the other hand, the device lacks MagSafe.

With a starting price of just $419, the refurbished iPhone 16e is currently the lowest-priced iPhone that Apple sells directly. When it first launched, the device started at $599, so the refurbished models are discounted by at least $180.

Apple's refurbished iPhones are unlocked, and they come with a new battery, a new outer shell, and a plain box with a USB-C cable. The devices are also covered by Apple's one-year limited warranty, and they are eligible for extended AppleCare+ or AppleCare One coverage. Apple says its refurbished products are thoroughly cleaned and tested, and in our view they they are more-or-less indistinguishable from brand new devices.
