The most likely date for the debut of Apple's new iPhone 18 Pro models and highly anticipated foldable iPhone is September 8, 2026, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Gurman hedged his bets, however, by saying that the premium iPhone models could be unveiled on September 9, since Labor Day is on the 7th this year.
Apple typically unveils new iPhones in September, and the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are not expected to deviate from that pattern. Fall iPhone events are usually held on the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day, which gives Apple enough time to get the new phones on sale by mid-September.
It also makes sense for Apple from a financial perspective, since a mid-September launch allows sales of the new iPhones to be included in the company's fourth-quarter financial results. It also gives Apple time to prepare stock for the holiday season.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are rumored to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, an A20 Pro chip, a next-generation C2 modem, a simplified Camera Control, and an upgraded main camera with a variable aperture.
The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch cover display, the A20 chip and C2 modem, a Touch ID power button instead of Face ID, and two rear cameras, with pricing rumored at around $2,000 or more. Apple's book-style foldable could launch as the "iPhone Ultra," as suggested by reports.
