The software updates are available through the Settings app on each device, and because these are developer betas, a free developer account is required.

There's no word on what's in the software as of yet. watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS often get few features in each new beta, with updates primarily focusing on bug fixes and performance improvements.

If you’re going to run a beta on AVP, one might as well run visionOS 27. 26.6 doesn’t offer anything new, while 27 adds new Siri, faster initial WiFi connection, the new Iceland environment, as well as the ability to make your own environments from panoramas or other image inputs. I made one from a Bryce Canyon panorama I took and it came out great!

Imagine having to work on visionOS updates knowing it's essentially a zombie product.
it's by far the most interesting thing they got going on so what could be better? you're kidding yourself if you think there isn't a bright future for vision OS even if the Vision Pro in its current incarnation isn't it

Clearly a trolling comment, but I'll bite.

I think people conflate Vision Pro with VisionOS. The current AVP may never become a mass-market product but I don't think the underlying OS/platform is a dead end. I'm excited to see where they take it next.

Apple will definitely be using visionOS in its AR glasses next year, so it's not pointless to refine the system.
