Here's When to Expect the Next Apple TV and HomePod Mini
New models of the Apple TV and HomePod mini are expected to launch later this year.

Apple aims to launch the new HomePod mini and Apple TV models "toward the end of the year," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
That timeframe suggests the devices will be released in September or October this year, rather than at some point before WWDC 2025 in June.
The new HomePod mini and Apple TV models will be equipped with Apple's own combined Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, according to Gurman. At a minimum, the chip is expected to support Wi-Fi 6E, which extends the capabilities of Wi-Fi 6 to the 6 GHz band with a compatible router. This can contribute to faster Wi-Fi speeds and lower latency.
The current Apple TV supports regular Wi-Fi 6, while the HomePod mini supports the specification that is now known as Wi-Fi 4.
The devices will be part of Apple's revamped smart home roadmap, which reportedly also includes an all-new home hub, a Face ID doorbell, and a smart home camera.
Other potential changes coming with the next Apple TV include an A16 chip or newer for faster performance, Apple Intelligence support, a starting price as low as $99 in the U.S., and a built-in camera for FaceTime video calls. The current Apple TV 4K model was released in October 2022, and it has an A15 Bionic chip.
As for the HomePod mini, likely upgrades include a newer S-series chip for faster performance, improved sound quality, and fresh color options. The current HomePod mini was released in November 2020, and it uses the Apple Watch Series 5's S5 chip.
