Apple has yet to announce any new devices this year, but that could change starting next week.
Apple CEO Tim Cook today said to "get ready" for a "launch" on Wednesday, February 19.
"Get ready to meet the newest member of the family," he said, in a post on X. The post includes an #AppleLaunch hashtag, along with a short video featuring an animated Apple logo inside a circle, fueling online speculation. For example, does the circle mean the rumored AirTag 2 will finally be announced next week?
Could the "newest member of the family" end up being a new iPhone SE instead? It is rumored to launch by next week.
Another rumored name for Apple's next entry-level iPhone is iPhone 16E, which would be the newest member of the iPhone 16 family.
The new iPhone SE or iPhone 16E is rumored to feature a larger 6.1-inch OLED display, an A18 chip, Face ID, a USB-C port, Apple Intelligence support, and more.
Will any other new products be unveiled next week? Rumors suggest new MacBook Air, iPad Air, and entry-level iPad models will be launching in the coming weeks.
If we are lucky, maybe Apple is planning to preview its rumored smart home hub ahead of shipping beginning later this year?
Cook's post seems to be more of a teaser than an event invite, so it seems likely that any announcements would be shared in press releases on the Apple Newsroom website. But, there could be YouTube videos too, like we saw when Apple announced new iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro models with M4 chips last October.
We'll find out what Apple has planned in just six days from now. Place your bets!
