Apple One Marked as Expired for Some Customers and Other Billing Issues Emerge as 30-Day Trial Ends

Today marks one month since the launch of Apple One, which allows customers to subscribe to multiple Apple services in a single bundle, and it appears there are some billing-related issues as the free trial period begins to elapse.

Apple One Apps Feature 2
Apple One includes a 30-day free trial for any services that customers did not already subscribe to individually, and that trial period ends today for those who signed up for Apple One on its first day of availability. Following the end of the trial period, however, some customers are seeing their Apple One subscription listed as expired and/or have been billed individually for services like Apple TV+ and Apple Music that should be rolled into Apple One.

All in all, there are clearly some hiccups going on as Apple One converts from a trial to a standard subscription, so hopefully Apple is able to sort out the issues soon.

Apple One allows customers to save money by bundling services together with one unified bill. At the low end, the Individual tier offers savings of $6 per month, while the Family plan offers a savings of over $8 per month, and the Premier plan offers a savings of over $25 per month, compared to standard monthly pricing.

There are three tiers of Apple One available:

  • Individual: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage for $14.95 per month
  • Family: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 200GB of iCloud storage for $19.95 per month, can be shared among up to six family members
  • Premier: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, and 2TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, can be shared among up to six family members

Curently, the Premier tier is limited to the United States, Australia, Canada, and the UK, as these are the only countries where Apple News+ is available. Premier will also include access to Apple's new workout service Fitness+, which launches later this year.

Yep, and as soon as one picks up they’re getting a loud earful from me.
Dude that "technician" is a low-level employee who is there to help solve your problem and had zero to do with it. That loud disappointment is reserved up-stream for which unfortunately you'll never be able to vent your frustration. Be polite with the customer service rep, calmly voice your displeasure which will be passed along with all the other complaints creating a large common sh!tstorm of complaints that will reach the uppers. Then get on with your problem in a rational way as the customer service rep is there to help you and will try their best. Nothing will be accomplished by your flipping out other than making yourself feel good for a minute in the most entitled, douchbag way.

Folks, I've just finished talking to a Senior Advisor. She assured me there is no issue with Apple One because if there was, she would have heard about it because Apple talks to over 1 million customers an hour. Plus, she has worked for Apple for 60 years and has never heard of this kind of issue. So, to troubleshoot this Services issue, you'll need to follow the standard steps: First, restart your Apple Services by holding the power button. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you'll need to Force Reboot your Apple Services by quickly pressing the Apple Services volume buttons and holding the Power button. If the issue persists, you'll need to Erase All Content and Settings on your Apple Services ONLY. It is very important that you don't do this on the device itself, just the Apple Services. If the issue persists, they'll escalate to Engineering. Engineering will need a full Apple Services Diagnose, with Mail logging enabled of course, and they'll get back to you within 24 - 48 hours. As always, be sure to keep your Apple Services up to date.

A lot of people didn't read that the One trial was only for services you were not subbing already. You had to manually cancel your running subscriptions beforehand!
Not true. When I signed up it said that I didn’t have to cancel anything, and that the currently services would roll up into Apple One. They did.
