I find it funny that I am seeing on MR advertisements for Intel's 8th generation i7 processors yet no Macs have them.:(

Why are these sales so often only for the anemic 128GB storage version? As someone who requires an absolute minimum of 512GB in a laptop, I feel like I can't get a good deal.
The 256GB version of the Air is discounted as well.

What I find annoying is that, with the current Mac lineup, I have to choose between getting a decent screen or getting a decent keyboard. And don’t get me started on the ports...

While our 2009 MBP is still running along flawlessly with more RAM and an SSD, I have to figure it might just die (or be arbitrarily obsoleted) soon, so thanks to MR for keeping these sales on the front page.

Plus, $200 savings is plenty of money for a reliable external keyboard.

At least you can put in more slow storage with a microSD card, which I use for media, backups, and downloads. With the right adaptor, the card will fit in the slot without sticking out at all, so it's basically internal.

Also keeps the main SSD's bandwith and IOPS free for more performance-critical things like my system. Sounds nerdy, but I've had certain operations on the main SSD like verifying a new Xcode XIP slow down my system enough to frustrate any user.

B&H is probably going to take a pretty big hit over the next year or two in loss of business after the Supreme Court ruling on sales tax. Sales tax on computer and photo/video equipment isn't chump change.
