Can the gift card be applied to the current purchase or only for a future purchase?

I want to Apple yesterday with a receipt from Nov 1 for an iPad Mini ( for a kid for Christmas) and a receipt for an iPad Air. They not only gave me a $50 gift card and a $75 gift card but also redid both my purchases which increased my AppleCare an additional 29 days! Love Apple customer service.

I don't understand why Apple wouldn't give the gift card on a sale today in the education store too.

Probably because they offer the back to school promotion in the fall with gift cards

Buy some shares of AAPL instead. Or donate some money to a local charity.

Mindlessly buying expensive gadgets for no specific purpose is a bit wasteful, no? Anyhow, it's up to you to figure out what to do with your dollars.

Good luck.
If instead of buying the first ipod in 2001 for it's price of $399, you purchased 22 shares of AAPL at $17.65, your investment would now be worth $12,233. Sobering thought (because i bought that first ipod).
