Apple Seeds First OS X 10.8.5 Beta to Developers

as I always joke, "name one thing good that's ever come from patience."

isn't there a saying about the the early bird gets the worm?

"And the second mouse gets the cheese"

I just assumed everyone was on 10.9 already.

Hope this fixes the sleep issues I have with my new iMac, loosing network drives after waking from deep sleep. Also USB drives being disconnected unexpectedly after waking up.

Any update on ML's shutdown speed with 10.8.5? Is it snappier?

e.g. Lion had fast shutdown speed, so why can't Mountain Lion have similar or slightly slower shutdown than Lion - e.g. Lion shuts down in 2-3 seconds whereas Mountain Lion shuts down in 20-30 seconds. No matter what people say about the time needed to shutdown lots of processes, it does not explain why Mountain Lion's shutdown is so much longer than Lion's.

"Sometime in the fall?" Come on now, we all know it'll be the last day of Fall. ;)
