Following last week's retail store opening in Rome, Italy, Apple has announced another international grand opening this week with the debut of the Gran Plaza 2 store in Madrid, Spain.
Centro Comercial Gran Plaza 2 under construction
Rather than the traditional Saturday grand opening, the Gran Plaza 2 store will open to the public at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 27 to coincide with the opening of the shopping center itself.
The new store will be Apple's sixth in Spain and third in the Madrid area, joining two other mall-based stores: Parquesur and Xanadú.

the trouble with apple products is when the time comes to take them for a repair. that's when your financial ability to maintain your posh products comes to light. somewhat like buying an expensive car - expensive maintenance & spare parts.
Hmm, that's interesting. The 8600 died in my dad's Macbook Pro 2.5 years after buying it. We didn't buy Apple care with it, yet Apple still replaced the gfx card in it for free as they knew about the issue. A week after they replaced it, it died again and again, it was repaired for free. Otherwise it would've cost around £350.
I'm guessing you should talk to Apple about that. They shouldn't charge you for a known issue.
sure, but Apple care is at an extra cost. And if you pay it year by year, it remains a cost. If you don't have the money for the apple care, you cross your fingers nothing happens to your machine. Usually, people invest their money in something they expect it to last. If the 1 year time frame passes, it is up to them to cover any damages (user-inflicted or not).
Even for the gfx 8600 issue on my mbp, I had to pay eur550,00 to change it as I was 5 months beyond the coverage set by apple, so yes, you do need money if you want to maintain your equipment. Yes, I am too cheap to buy an year to year apple care plan.
Oh please!! If the product dies on you during its first year, the repair is free. If you want to, you can extend that with Apple care. And it's not like people won't replace their products after 2-3 years anyway. Chances are you won't really need to spend a lot of money, if at all, on maintenance.
As with expensive cars, because Apple products are a tad more expensive, the expected quality (of the product and customer service) is higher.
