Chicago Business reports that Apple is looking to open a store as part of Chicago's Block 37 project on State Street.
The status of the talks with Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple and the other retailers couldn't be determined. Sources say Apple has engaged a broker to negotiate a lease for a store as large as 6,000 square feet of ground-level space fronting State Street.
The stores in the Block 37 project are said to open in late 2008.
