I was in for quite a pleasant surprise as I was making the last check of the ole' InBox before heading to sleep last night. A message sent to me as part of the MacDemos mailing list
alerted me to a new demo for the Mac that has just been released by a group known as
hAUjOBB. [See "What is a demo?" if needed.] Their new demo,
Macrostrange is perhaps the most impressive (and "modern," buy current demo standards) demo that I have ever seen on the Mac.
Requiring OpenGL 1.1.2+, MacOS 8.6+, and a fast machine, this demo definitely scores high across the board -- soundtrack, technical complexity, and style. Great stuff. If you've got any interest in seeing something impressive thrown up on your screen, by all means take a look.
(Demo file is mirrored on a faster site here, at present anyway.)
