Dangerous Widgets?

As reported across sites yesterday, there has been some concern about auto-installing Widgets under Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and Safari.

One example page has been setup (see link) which autoinstalls a widget under Tiger/Safari combinations.

While widgets are generally prohibited from performing destructive tasks in the system, the remaining abusive potential for such a combination is drawing concern amongst users.
