Like the good little fangirl I am, I got the "Beat goes on
." announcement updates through Twitter sent straight to my two-month old iPhone. Neato. Great job, y'all.
The iPod Touch seems like a great answer to the iPhone if you hate AT&T or don't want to break your current contract. Yes, the lack of camera kinda stinks, if you were to want to photoblog while out of your house, but it's just an iPod, no biggie. It's still a freaking MP3 player with Wifi; not crippled Zune-esque only-able-to-do-about-3-things wifi, but actual, functioning Wifi. Pretty neat. Yes, 16 gigs may be too small for some of you, but do you really need to carry all of your music all of the time? Continue reading full article... There have been horrid, terrible storms for the last few days. Why, yesterday I got flooded a block and a half away from my house. I had to pull over for 45 minutes before I could drive the 100 feet to get to my driveway. (Thanks, mysterious neighbor whose driveway I borrowed!)
Today, though today was fun. I had just finished closing down the registers when BOOM! Continue reading full article... ( 39 comments | Read Full Article ) A Walking Advertisementposted by Katie on Thursday August 23, 2007 10:40 AM
By my calculations, Apple owes me at least a couple grand.
No, no, hear me out! I have a perfectly thought-out, impeccable line of thought to go with this assertion. Every single time I get out my iPhone to do something mundane like make a call or check the traffic, I always get people asking me about it. Continue reading full article... I was padding around the house barefoot and half-conscious getting ready to go to work. My dad came into the room, shaking a bundle of papers.
"Katie! Why is your phone bill Fifty Three Pages?!" --"Huh? What are you talking about? Give me my mail! Stop opening my mail!" "I thought it was our home phone, but still... 53 pages?!" ![]() (forgive the size and quality. I took it with the iPhone because my camera was either stolen from me or I lost it.) I hate alarm clocks. An annoying cacophony of buzzing and ringing that rips me from my blissful, relaxing, refreshing, wonderful sleep doesn't sit well with me. I've actually thrown an alarm clock across the room to shut it up. In addition to the annoying noise, setting the alarm is annoying. I have to contort my hand to hit about 3 different buttons at once, and the buttons tend to be so small that they don't register when I jam my finger on it. Joy.
The iPhone alarm is different, though. I wouldn't dare throw her across a room! Continue reading full article... ( 43 comments | Read Full Article ) iPhone vs. Facebookposted by Katie on Monday August 06, 2007 03:29 AM
I was at Target today searching for an elusive pair of size 10 peep-toe canvas flats that went on sale for $6. I'm frugal (not cheap). As I'm digging through the aisle of shoes, I hear the sky open up, and thousands of gallons of water beat on the roof of the store.
Oh, happy day. It's raining like no tomorrow. I keep looking for the little shoes as the rain comes down. Eventually I give up on my little mission and sit down at the in-store Starbucks and fire up my iPhone to kill some time. I can't drive in that weather! My tiny Hyundai will float away! iPhoneDevCamp ended a while ago, and ever since, Ive been playing with all the apps pretty much non-stop. All of them are so neat and useful, but there are a few that I especially love.
