A few weeks ago, we wrote about the iOS app for this year's March Madness tournament. The app, which gives access to live game audio and video streams for all 67 games in the tournament, is now available for download. [Direct Link]
Mac users will be able to watch all the CBS-broadcast games for free on CBSSports.com. Games aired on TBS, TNT and TruTV will be available to authenticated watchers of certain pay-tv providers.
For iPad and iPhone viewers, everyone will be required to make a $3.99 in-app purchase to watch all 67 games via Wi-Fi or 3G. That fee covers all devices as well, so paying customers watching games on their Macs won't have to worry about authentication.
The NCAA March Madness app is free for iPhone and iPad, plus the $3.99 in-app purchase to actually watch the games [Direct Link]. The Big Dance begins March 13.

As a life long Kentucky basketball fan, I'd rather pay $50 than type that obscene code into my phone. ;)
For those interested, I believe there is still a way for you to get it free.
Basically text 0TARHEELS to 2653, use the code they send you back and create an account. A little effort involved, but worth it for the free games.

I don't have cable and so I gladly payed the $4. Seriously, $4 for every game is dirt cheap.
