iphone 4s white side shot

Pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S were supposed to kick off at 12:01 a.m. pacific. Both Verizon.com and Sprint.com websites became available just at that time for preorders, while Apple's and AT&Ts have not yet updated.

Apple's website is having some intermittent errors presumably due to the traffic. Sprint's pre-orders also seems to having some troubles while we've seen successful Verizon pre-orders already.

Sprint on apple store:

At this time, we are only taking online iPhone orders for current Sprint customers upgrading a phone on an existing line. If you're a new customer, or simply want to add a new line to an existing account, please select this option and click "Continue".
There you'll see how and when an iPhone can be purchased at your local Apple Retail Store.

I just saw that too.

It would have been nice if that had been disclosed UP FRONT so that I didn't wake up at 3 am trying for an hour to get an iPhone 4S on Sprint for absolutely nothing. I'm going to bed...
